Kiwi by Crystal Daniels & Sandy Alvarez

Let me say this, the infamous duo has knocked it out of the park once again!

Image may contain: 1 person, text that says 'LOUISIANA CHAPTER K KIW W THE KINGS OF RETRIBUTION MC CRYSTAL DANIELS SANDY ALVAREZ'

Kiwi & Piper's chemistry has been on my mind since reading Nova, and I have to say they will be one of my favorite Kings MC couples.

Piper has grown up in the MC and knows what loyalty, love, and family are and what they mean to each other, but as she has gotten older, the feelings for one of the brothers have turned from brotherly love to so much more.

Kiwi (also known as Tai) knows what the MC means to him, and that family is everything. He has watched Piper grow up and has watched and loved her with a step back until the time came for her to be his.

The story is moving, loving, gripping, exciting, and a bit of a tear-jerker. Crystal Daniels & Sandy Alvarez, you about killed me with the ending of the story and the beginning of the epilogue, but that ending put a big smile on my face and let out a deep breath that I hadn't realized I was holding.

I can not wait to see who they do next!

Until Talon by Aurora Rose Reynolds

The Until Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds is absolutely one of my favorite series and I was so excited to see that she announced Until Talon!
Until Talon had all of the love, action, excitement, and Boom factor as all of the others. Mia is weary about falling for any man but Talon shows her what it means to be with a real man and what real love looks and feels like.
Talon is just like all of the other Mayson men, Alpha, over the top, and protective. When he see’s Mia for the first time he understands the stories that his uncles talk about is true. He makes sure that Mia knows he is all in and that he won’t give up on her.
Mia realizes that once she see’s what true and real love looks and feels like she believes that she wants what others around her have.
Aurora Rose Reynolds hit it out of the park again, and I cannot wait until we have more of the Mayson Family!

Nikolai by Crystal Daniels & Sandy Alvarez

Nikolai: The Volkov Empire by [Crystal Daniels, Sandy Alvarez]
Definitely worth the wait!
This was a book that I could not wait for and was so excited to see!
Ever since we were introduced to Leah in Alba’s story, you wanted to know her story and knew that she and Nikolai were going to be a great love story. Leah and Nikolai give each other a balance that they didn’t realize they both needed.
Nikolai is an alpha man that knows what he wants the first time he sees Leah and will be patient and wait for her but as soon as she is ready he goes in full force to make her his.
Leah is timid, scared, and is unsure of herself, but she learns that there is more to her than another person’s words. She grows to be a strong woman that takes action when she finally gives in for her feelings.
This book was definitely worth the wait!

Nova by Crystal Daniels & Sandy Alvarez

Once started you will not want to put this book down. I know I couldn't put it down!

The Kings of Retribution MC is a loyal, strong, and amazing family. They will go to great lengths to protect their own and themselves, and that is the best thing anyone could be part of.

No one thought Nova could be tamed but all it took was the right person. Promise knew her life wasn’t perfect, but she was going to be strong and do what she needed to do. Nova and Promise are hot, fun, a team, and just an overall great couple that will always be loved by everyone and a great addition to the Kings of Retribution MC family.

This book and all of the others are written so realistically that you want to jump up and find them to be part of their world. Crystal Daniels and Sandy Alvarez have knocked it out of the park and brought and all of feelings and love in. I know I can’t wait for more and strongly urge them to keep writing because I WANT MORE (please)!!!!

Current Reading List & Update

Hey Readers!

How is everyone doing? What is everyone reading right now?

I thought I would give everyone a little update on my reading list. I know I am about a week or two behind (blame headaches and school). If I could read all day I really would, but unfortunately I have to be a part of the real world.

We are going to go off topic for a moment but I do promise I will get back to the current reading list!

You guys don't this but on June 14th I broke my left leg at work and had to have surgery to repair it. I had broken my tibia plateau, the kind of break I had would be classified as a high impact break. This type of break happens when you fall off a roof or get hit by a car. Me, I broke my leg my running down a small ramp. Yep, I broke my leg by running and falling. At first I thought I had just hyper extended my knee but after an ambulance ride to the ER, X-rays, and a CT scan they found it was just a break. I was in surgery a week later where they put in a plate and 11 screws.

Unfortunately I was non-weight bearing and on crutches for 8 weeks. Let me tell you this I HATE crutches!! I was ready to throw them over our second floor balcony. Oh did I forget to mention that I live on the second floor of my apartment complex? Yeah, I was boot scootin' it up and down the stairs for two months and it was horrible, hot, dirty, tiring, and just flat out annoying.

Well I went to the doctor last week and I am finally cleared to go back to work! YAY (kind of, ha ha ha)!!

The only thing that has gotten me through the last 6 months has been books, Netflix, and deciding to go back to school.
I went from working 40+ hours a week, taking care of my daughter, and normal housework, to not being able to do any of it for 2 1/2 months! My husband was a great help and became Mr. Mom for a while to help out. For a man who only new how to make sandwiches, soup, ramen noodles, and nachos (just the chips and cheese), he learned how to cook, started taking my daughter to school, cleaned, laundry, and was working his normal 45+ hours. He has been a godsend and so supportive of me and everything I have had to go through and deal with.

I started back to school in November, and I am going for my Bachelors in Health Services Management. My goal is to be done in 2 years! School has been helping me keep busy since I haven't been able to do much of anything around the house and I couldn't go back to work.

That first week I was off work, before my surgery I was ok, I was just trying to manage my pain and not try to kill myself on the stupid crutches. But about a week after my surgery and being almost immobile I was going crazy and was tired of watching TV (I tried reading new books but I was going through so much I couldn't concentrate on anything new). So I decided that I was just going to go through my iBooks and Kindle library and reread a lot of my books again. Well I did that in about 2 weeks. Then I got started into my Kindle Unlimited books. After another 2 weeks and still not being able to do a whole lot I was finally able to concentrate on new books so I just continued to wear the hell out of my KU account, I read and downloaded so many books I can't even keep track of how much I read.

It was in December I got the idea that I wanted to start a blog that was all about book reviews and what books I would recommend. So I made a list of my favorite authors and their books and decided that I was going to go out on a limb and make this blog and my Instagram. So here I am almost month later and really enjoying it. I love being able to read books and then let other readers know the great things about these books and how amazing some authors are. How they can just take simple words and make a whole new life for someone.

It was about a week or so after I had started my Instagram account I started to be approached by authors asking if I could read and review their books. Let me tell you this when I got that first message I was so excited and couldn't wait to do it. I love knowing that I am helping someone else achieve their dream.

If I do nothing else in my life, at least I have helped someone else. That is all I want to do.

After that first author messaged me I kept getting more and more requests to read and review their books and I kept getting even more excited for the opportunities I was given by others.

So now that I have written a little story myself I am going to give you my current reading list of requested reads and ARC sign ups that I submitted for.

Currently reading: Etched in Stone by Olivia Arnold
2. Remember Me by Roxanne Tully
3. Warrior Blue by Kelsey Kingsley
4. Keeping Denver by Crystal Daniels & Sandy Alvarez
5. Just Love Me by Tracisek
6. Only Her series by Olivia Stephen
7. I'm Done by Gupreet Kaur
8. Divided Interests by Kelly Elliott
9. Dark Secret by Danielle Rose

I am so excited for all of my upcoming books!

I will try and keep all of the authors updated about their book status and I will email them the day before or the day I post my review on here and where ever else they need them posted.

If you are an author and would like to be added to my list please check out my other blog about requested reads. I am always taking new books and will be happy to read anything that you ask me too.

I hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Sound of Love by Kyle Shoop

Hey Readers!

I hope everyone is doing well. The last two weeks have been a little rough for me, I have had migraines and headaches that make me not want to do anything but sleep. But I have finally gotten rid of them, so I had to catch up on reading, and school work of writing two 4 page papers on business ethics. Thankfully I finished the last one today and am done with the class!

In this time I have had the opportunity to read:

Sound of Love by Kyle Shoop is a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ story that is
emotionally wrenching (good kind!) that makes all of the feelings come out.
This is a story of a young boy and girl who didn't have anything but each other and their imagination. Unfortunately they were separated for many years, one has been single and alone and the other has loved and loss. On a cold winters night they found each other again, and they realize all that they were missing of each other and that childhood love is a true thing. Being reunited they learn that there is more to life than the possessions you have and that love and joy is the key to happiness.

The way the love is expressed in song makes your feelings bloom and makes you wish you had someone to write you a love song.

Oh and let me tell you I love this cover!

Sound of Love will be available on Amazon in paperback, audio, Kindle, and Kindle Unlimited January 15th.

I hope you guys enjoy this book as much as I did!

Happy reading!

90 Proof by BL Bradley & S. Reese

Hey Hey Hey Everyone!

It is a warm and sunny Monday morning here in Texas. Can anyone else believe that it is already January 6th! Time has already flown by this year!

I have just had the chance to finish a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ book, 90 Proof by BL Bradley & S. Reese.

I really liked this book. Cole was a swoon worthy man that every woman wants in their life and every man should be trying to follow. Madi is funny, strong, and knows what she wants. Cole and Madi together are such a cute couple, from the first moment they meet you know they are going to be cute and fun together.

Their relationship is about building trust and commitment that every new couple has to have for it to last and be meaningful. The way Cole puts himself out there with thoughtful gifts and poems you see that he is in it and wants it for the long haul and will not give up easily.

This is the type of story that you instantly want to fall in love with the characters and can relate a bit to them as well. And in my personal opinion those are one of the best stories to read.

I hope you enjoy 90 Proof as much as I did!

You can find 90 Proof available on Amazon.

Keeping Denver cover reveal!

I woke up to a great email this morning!

The cover reveal for Keeping Denver by Sandy Alvarez & Crystal Daniels was released this morning and let me tell you this, it is red hot!

Here is a bit about Keeping Denver:
Life has never been easy for Denver Hollis. But at twenty-three years old, she didn't foresee losing everything, becoming homeless, sleeping in shelters, and sometimes on the cold city streets of New York.
One day, her luck turns. With help from an unlikely friend, Denver lands a promising job as an assistant for Callan Hawk Attorney at Law.
Callan Hawk is an attractive man. He exudes power and sex appeal. He's also arrogant and, at times, insufferable to work with.
Ignoring the way Callan's presence and heated stares make her feel, Denver is determined to stay focused and get her life back on the right track.
Little does Denver know, Callan has his sights set on her. After discovering Denver's secret, he becomes more determined to protect her—make her his. Callan vows to take care of her and give her everything she never had.
Promises are made to be broken. Right?
Now Denver has to choose to walk away from the man she has fallen in love with or trust him with her heart again.

I am very excited to read this book! I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Keeping Denver and I will have a blog post up about it in the next week or so!

Keeping Denver will be available in January 2020!

Disney World

Hey readers!

This is going to be a bit of a random post.

I am currently planning a family vacation to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I am looking for any tips and tricks that you guys might know of that would be helpful.

This trip is going to have 4 (possibly 6) adults, a 4 (turning 5) year old girl, and a 7 year old girl.

We are looking for the ultimate Disney experience for the girls, that are budget friendly.

I have gone over a lot of the Disney parks pages looking at all of the different information they have about the parks that we are going to need to know, but I need you guys to help me out! What have you done in Disney World that is fun, inexpensive, tips, tricks, and the totally worth it attractions and rides.

We are planning on being in the Disney parks for 3-4 days and then Universal Studios for 1-2 days.

What's worth the extra cost and what is not?
What are the best places to eat?
What are the best souvenirs to shop for?
Should we stay at a Disney resort or find someone cheaper?

I have done a lot of research and website searching but I need some personal experiences of what is and isn't worth the time and expense.

If you have any answers to my questions or comments please feel free to email me at romancebookreader14@gmail.com

Thanks Everyone!
Have a great weekend!

A bit behind!

Hey everyone!

So I am a bit behind on reading books and posting reviews. The last 2 weeks have been crazy busy for me. My daughter has been home from school, I finished a class and started another for school, Christmas, New Years, and the last 2 days I have had a migraine that I have not been able to kick and haven't been able to do much of anything but lay on my couch with ice packs and take hot showers.

But I am finally feeling better and will be able to start some reading! YAY!!!

I have been approached on Instagram by a couple of different authors to read and review their books. I am so excited by the list of books that I have received that I cannot wait to read and post about them.

I am going give you a little sneak peak at my current reading list so you can see how excited I am about these books and know that I am so appreciative of Authors sending me ARC's of their books so I can let everyone know about them!

My Current list is:
1. 90 Proof by BL Bradley
2. Sound of Love by Kyle Shoop
3. Etched in Stone by Liv Arnold
4. Remember Me by Roxanne Tully
5. Warrior Blue by Kelsey Kingsley

In the next two weeks (hopefully) I should have all of these read and reviewed on here for everyone to read. Some of these books are not out yet and I will give you more information about ordering them when I post their review!

I hope everyone is fantastic and has had fantastic holidays!

How I choose books and do reviews!

Hey everyone!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Years! It has been crazy at my house for the last two weeks with the holidays.

I have had a cuople of people ask me how I choose which books I review and how I review them, so I have decided to let all of you know the process.

There is no process, I choose a book to read by personal interest, or if an author approaches me about reading and reviewing their book(s). I am part of some authors ARC's (Advanced Reading Copy) teams. This means that they will send me their book and I will review it on the normal platforms.

I post my reviews on iBooks (if the book is on there), Amazon (Kindle), and of course on here.

Just because I have been sent these books does not mean that they have told me what to review and what to say. I won't let anyone influence what I say in my reviews, everything is honest, not paid for, and done on my own.

If I do read a book that is less than three ⭐'s I will message/email the author before I post it to let them know what I did and did not like, and my honest opinions and feelings about it. If they ask that I not post my review on Amazon or iBooks I won't, but I will post it on here. I want my readers to have their chance to make their own opinion on books. Every reader is different and might have a different opinion on the book.

Every reader should have the opportunity to read a book no matter what anyone else says. And every book should be given the opportunity to be read by whoever wants to read it. Every person and every book is different and should be given an equal chance to be read and accepted.

I hope this information has helped answer any questions you might have had about my reading choices and how I write my reviews.

Reminder!

Hey everyone!

Just want to remind everyone that my reviews are always going to be honest. They are never paid for, or encouraged to give positive reviews on books. All books that I give a review for are ones that I have read and recommend to you and other readers.

Some authors do send me ARC's or their books for free so I can review them but they will be honest and have a ⭐ rating.

If you (Authors) or anyone you know is looking for honest reviews on your books please feel free to email me at romancebookreader14@gmail.com

If anyone has any questions or concerns about my reviews please feel free to email me I will try to get back to you quickly.

I hope you enjoy my reviews and the blog!

Favorite book covers!

Book covers are the first thing that draw me to a book. Here are some of my favorites from all of the books I have read over the years (They are not in any specific order).
